Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Can Altıparmak, and I will begin my studies at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in September 2026. Before starting my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, I will complete the Dutch Preparatory Year.

Choosing TU Delft was an important decision for me. I was also admitted to Eindhoven University of Technology and KU Leuven, but I chose TU Delft because of its outstanding international reputation, its leadership in engineering education, and the opportunity to become part of Dutch academic and social life by completing the preparatory programme in Dutch. I believe learning the language will help me integrate into Dutch society and become an active member of the community.

I am a responsible, organised and reliable person. My friends and teachers describe me as someone who is careful, respectful and dependable. I enjoy playing football, watching films and spending time with friends, but I also appreciate a quiet environment where I can concentrate on my studies.

I will be living alone. I do not smoke, I have no pets and I always respect shared rules and other people’s privacy. Although this will be my first long-term experience living abroad, I have previously stayed away from my family during a summer camp, which helped me become more independent and responsible.

My parents will fully support me financially throughout my studies. They will guarantee all rental payments and living expenses, allowing me to focus entirely on my education.

I understand that finding a reliable tenant is important. If given the opportunity, I will treat your property with great care and respect, just as I would my own home.
